Hiring more police in my area, an laying off teachers.....between county an city over 200 officers for our small SW Colorado community an expenditures over 8 million, what are they thinking?

I think next election we should vote all those out of office who pissed away our hard earned money and vote for these who know how to budget correctly. Republicans....lets not support the gumba's/organized crime/democrates....they will take us all

Our district's teachers did a real disservice by the doom and gloom predictions they made leading up to budget cuts. None have panned out, and I'm ashamed that so many teachers have disgraced themselves by not setting a positive example.

The parents and students have adapted much better than the teachers, and they've been quite innovative in working through issues caused by budget cuts. Our HS students just raised $40K for a charitable cause as well. Kudos to them!

It's pretty frustrating. But we keep fundraising and we keep trying to do more with less. The district doesn't seem to realize how low the morale is.
