I don't believe any school should require students to buy lunch. If a child would rather have a packed lunch from home, than that should be allowed.

This is silly. The school lunch is not an option for a child with severe sensitivity to all things artificially flavored/colored/scented, as well as preservatives. ADHD diet, aka Feingold Diet is our only link to academic success for our daugther.

My opinion- certainly not while they are serving things like pink slime, my daughters opinion- the lunches have no flavor and she prefers to have home packed. I would never allow someone else to decide what my child was to eat.

NO they most certainly should not, some children can not buy the lunch because of food allergies and all they want is to fit in and if they are the only ones that are not able to buy the unch can you IMAGINE HOW MISERABLE and bullied they would be?

Yes. It's not the school's responsibility to ensure that parents can provide for their children. I understand there are extenuating circumstances, but in large, schools are not responsible for the financial obligations of raising a child.

No, students should not be required to buy lunches (as some may be unable top afford them), but it should be certified that all students HAVE lunches. Students who lack them should be provided lunches by the school.

Bought lunch is an assitance for a healthy meal during the day. Ask your kids if he'd rather have school lunch your huge lunch. You might be suprised if he tels the truth.
