moving from NY to Florida

We're moving to Florida around summer/fall time. My daughter goes to 8th grade & son to Kindergarten. Wondering what are the best school around Boca Raton or West Palm Beach. My husband will be working in Boca, not sure what are the best areas to raise kids down there or best schools. My daughter is an Honor Roll student so I would like to have a great school for her. Also need help on best comunnities to raise kids around those areas. Thanks. mom

A few thoughts. First talk to the HR department where your husband is going. They can set you up with families in your area with kids similar ages. That alone will be a lifeline to find the park and rec programs, the schools, and the areas with manageable commute times.
Secondly, contact a real estate person. They're well versed in things like amenities in an area that are attractive to families. It doesn't matter if you plan to rent or own, they're always eager to help.
