I am a parent of a child who had Mr. Webb 2008 and 2009 school year. Mr Webb not only was a great male role model for my child, who doesn't have a father figure in his life, but was very involved with the kids and in my opinion is one of the most caring and hard working teachers my children have ever had a AES. Mr Webb is an excellent teacher who really cares about the children, there isn't many teachers that take the time out of their buisy life to go watch their students play ball on Saturdays, but Mr. Webb did things like this.I was very disturbed to hear that AES is not bringing him back this coming up school year. Why is it AES will get good teachers and not keep them? Last year was the most positive year I've had at AES and the last.

One Star rating. Two children in my family attended this school and the experience was not pleasant. While both children did have a couple of excellent, caring teachers, the administration of this school is absolutely hideous. The targeting of kids whose parents are disliked by the Principal is a continuous issue with many families. Several complaints to the county school board have resulted from this, yet little if any action has ever been taken to properly investigate this issue. Very small school in a tiny community so lots of interpersonal politics is played out between the teachers, the principal and the kids of the teachers who attend the school. Basically, very small clique in a little pond and if you're not on the inside you are definately on the outside. Lots of preferential treatment to certain students (i.e. kids of teachers or those in favor within the small community).

I have the opinion that this school is great in some areas but needs improvements in some areas as well. Academically and availability of extracurricular activities the school is good. I believe the school needs to look to improve in areas to work with the parents when they have an issue with a teacher like we parents are asked to work with the teachers. So many times parents of students at this school feel like their issues and concerns are side stepped & ignored. I also think this is a school that doesn't brace children and their talents if they do not meet a certain profile.

This school is wonderful. I really believe that the teachers try their best to meet each child with the best to accomplish their needs in learning if it is taking them one on one. They have help my child alot.
