We were new to BES a couple years ago, but I immediately became involved with the school and found that the school has some excellent teachers. They are working hard to continue to better their test scores and do well with what they have. I also look forward to what Dr. McAbee can do to better the school as well.
my son was in this school for 5 yrs.. they had graduation this week and i was shocked at the things i saw. i thought that favorites in shool had vanished along time ago..the whole thing lasted about 2 hrs. and i know of 4 children who were left out of everything they done. these kids had their hearts broke. i know 1 of them even cried..this is the 5th grade and they even made up rewards for kids and still left these children out..we send them to school to learn and to be accepted...not to have their selfworth be taken from them..in my opinion this school and MOST OF ITS STAFF IS A JOKE
Since I did not attend BES as a child, I was a little hesitant when it came time for my daughter to start Kindergarten last year, Thanks to Mrs. Kay Crye the school year was wonderful, I did not worry about my daughter as long as she was with this wonderful teacher, who really cares about her students, and teaches them so much in such a short time. My child is in 1st grade now with another wonderful teacher, Mrs. Marilyn Gallatin. I could not ask for better educators or role models for my children. I look forward to each year at BES, and really appreciate the opportunity to be a BES Parent Volunteer. Thanks Tami
Over all great school and teachers.
I was new to the area last year and my grandaughter was afraid and sad that she had to leave her friends back in west virginia. Mrs. Mantooth was her teacher and she really gave me the confidence and stability that she would always be there for her , and that she really cared how she felt. I really appreciate her for that and it meant a whole lot to us.
It is my opinion that Mrs. Thomas has made great improvement since she has been principal, and am at ease sending my children to school. I have every confidence in her. She was my teacher when I attended BES, and I am very glad that she is my children's principal.
We just got a new principal and she is wonderful. She has made alot of needful changes and I commend her for bucking the system and making our kids safe and secure in their learning environment. The teachers are great and helpful with our kids. Parents are always welcome to become involved in any activity ex: Fall Festival, parent/teacher ball games, PTO, and classroom volunteering.
