This school is the best I have had the pleasure to deal with. The teachers are the most involved teachers and care so much for each and every student. The pricipal, Mrs. Veasey, takes an actual interest in the concerns of all involved and takes the time to resolve any issue to the benefit of both the student,parents, and teachers. Thank God there are educators out there like her and her staff
Both school systems are great here so we are blessed. But, we ultimately chose Lakewood because of the parent involvement and family atmosphere. They encourage parent involvement greatly. In the city schools they say they do but,parents are not allowed to volunteer on a regular basis. We are very happy with our decision too send out children to Lakewood. I help out at school once a week and I love getting to know the kids and teachers...it is like a family! Everyone is so nice!
This school is full of loving, caring teachers who are devoted to the students. It is an extraordinary school.
Lakewood Elementary is a great school. The faculty and staff really care and it shows.
