This school is the best! The teachers are warm, understanding people as well as being excellent educators. I disagree completely with a previous review. Obviously that parent didn't get involved with the school enough to see what a quality education his/her child was receiving. The evidence is in the testing-Camden Elementary was the cream of the crop! I highly recommend being a part of the PTO process.
While I feel that the staff is friendly and treats the children well, I find them sadly lacking in the teaching department. It is nearing the 2nd semester of my daughters [school] year and her class hasn't studied any Science or Social Studies. The Art class is a joke. They haven't learned anything about perspective or shading, etc. It's just a free-for-all. I'm very disappointed in the system and I'm not the only one. Our children don't seem to be learning anything-not because they're stupid, but because they aren't being taught.
