current principal 2011 is rude and talks down to women, had 2 bad experiences out of 3 visits, not good rate him 1, but my daughters teacher so far is wonderful, ms. sabrina, cant wait to work more with her! my scores are based on one teacher and i will update in future
Clairfield has teachers, parents and community engaged in establishing a rural connection to education. Seasonal events for the school are well attended and supported by family and community. Teachers strive to relate class materials to the rural culture of life in the Clearfork Valley
You Know I am a former student to this fine school and I have just finished reading these reviews and I am disgusted. I am a 2nd year student in high school i just got my Act scores back because i took it the summer after my first year and i scored a 34 and honestly the teachers at the school i go to have taught me nothing what so ever honestly i owe it all to my 8th grade teachers and the teachers before them for instance shannon rice, rebecca miracle and mrs. brewer i really think this is an exceptional school one day i want my kids to go here sure they dont have the best stuff but honest hard working teachers and faculity and as for the principal mrs. Keck i love u and will suport u for years to come nothing
Clairfield elementary school's gym in one of the best. The boys bathroom stinks all the time. When there is a problem the principal is not always willing to work with you to solve it . She no longer lets the parents get involved with the school to work together (not to boss or take over). Most of the teachers are good, and a couple are really respectable teachers who are there to actually teach the children. Principal and teachers dress up for halloween while the children are not allowed. Some rules made are not always the same as the district, and not in our childrens favor. Social skills within the school needs improvement. We are very happy with the rise in test scores, but improvements can always be made.
Clairfield elementary ranked 3rd in Math and 4th in Reading in our county this year. such great gains and improvements have been made over the past few years. It is really impressive. I am very proud of our school. The faculty and staff work very hard to provide the best learning environment possible for the students. Parent involvement is good because the positive parents are helping. It is all for the students and their needs. People can make negative comments but they can't argue with progress.
Since the new principal has taken over the school environment has improved a great deal. The principal enforces the rules. Parents no longer tell the teachers what to do Mostly due to this reason some parents do not like the new principal. She is just doing her job. That is to do what is best for the students, whether it be for their safty, education, or anything in their best interest. Some parents just don't like not being able to run the school anymore since the last principal left. Due to the great efforts put forth by the teachers, staff, parents, and principal, I would like to let everyone know that Clairfield is off the target list. The TCAP scores came up a great deal. I am now proud to tell everyone my child atteds Clairfield.
All over Ky. & Tn. I see new schools & new gyms. What does Clairfield School have that is new?? Answer: A new chain - link fence. The principal is a snob. The only time she has ever spoken to me has been to tell me of some wrong I have committed. ie: I used the wrong entrance, I stepped in out of the rain at the back door.Parents are supposed to sit in their cars until children are brought out. (Unless it's raining, then parents are expected to stand at the door.) None of the rules were posted or supplied to me. I always learn the hard way - by being jumped on and talked down to by the principal & her enterage. My kids were estatic to attend preschool. But now they hate school & beg me not to take them there.
The schol is not up to date with books, the school's food is not very good, the childern cant go and get any extra food the food they get half of it the kids dont like. The pantry was cleaned out last year. The food was dated for 1992 and 1994. The school is in need of a lot of repair in the restrooms . The principal is disrespectful to parents and the childern
