Glad my child no longer goes to this school! so much bullying going on and none of the staff cares. teachers were okay, but they never kept the parents up to date on anything.
Very oblivious the bullying issues they have in this school. I get told every time they need more proof. Well I now have a child afraid to go to school from fear of being jumped. He has been hit on the back of the neck , shoved into the table at lunch , etc. He does not react and tries to walk away and tell but gets told by a teacher well I did not see I can not do anything about. UMM address it. Mrs.Martinez or however you spell it , told us to expect our son to get bullied. No I expect you to do your job.We are looking into getting him into a new school and hopefully we can. Then I am taking all my documented emails and such to the to the media over this crooked school. Very big problem with racism here as well from students. I am over kenwood elem. It is a joke. I will say Mrs. Mcdaniel is a great teacher as is mrs.goder. Mrs overdorf as well. Yancey not so much.
Lots and lots of discipline issues. Every day I hear swear words, profanity, and disrespectful students. The teachers are the only thing keeping me from going insane. The stuff isn't very hard, and I can breeze by with nothing lower than an A. Pathetic. - An 8th Grade Student
My daughter loves this school she has made a lot of friends. Her grades have improved also with the help of those wondefull teachers. This school is not racist and it doesn't have any behavior issues because two of my sons have gone from KWMS to KWHS and had never complained.
I have had two students who went to this school and it is a great school. They have advanced classes, a great athletic program and after school tutoring if needed. Whenever there are issues that need to be addressed, the principal has an ear to hear what you have to say and seeks to solve the issues on the spot.
I think this is an amazing school, they have some really bright students that are going to be very successful in life.
This school is prejudiced against students with high intellect. Teachers are to busy trying to control students who get no leadership from home. Disgrace!
This school is a disgrace from the teachers, to administrators, to the racism against white kids...you name it, it's a problem. My son has been getting bullied for a while. Contacted the school, spoke to the principal, called guidance and got no where.(Guidance called me back a week later). Tried to have him transfered and they told me I have to make him see a psychologist to do so. Maybe he needs help, but that doesn't solve anything when he's threatened and can't use the bathroom b/c he's scared he'll get jumped. They have completely ignored the situation even w/ the names I've given of known violent bullies. Something needs to be done about this. We sign a contract against this behavior at the beginning of schoool-do your job!!!!
this school is my favorite school i been to i had great friends and the teachers help u alot with anything.there is no drama at all.this school was fun to everyone until i moved i hate when i had to move this school will always be my #1 so choose right for your kids this is the best school i been to yet
My granddaughter seems to really like this school. This is the 3rd one she has attended in Clarksville and so far seems to be making excellent grades. Keep up the good work teachers.
My kid loves this school. She has made the best friends she could ever have here and the Teachers Really care.
So far this school has not failed me. This is the 3rd month of school and my son really likes all of his teachers. They all seem to be very fair, and helpful if he doesn't understand something. There are a few teachers who don't update powerschool grades as often as I would like, but maybe that means they are so busy planning for future work, which my son loves. Do wish there was some sort of 'optional' after-school tutor program for extra help, but you can't have it all. So far, with the 3rd month of school, I think highly of this school. Especially Mrs. McDaniel, Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Bannister, and Nurse Patty!
I think this school is one of the best schools in the county. Every staff member helps encourage and control every student. The one bad thing is that we need more extracurricular activities.
I found the school to be unorganized, educationally unmotivated, and uncontrolled.
Not only am I a parent but I am also the cheerleading coach and I regularly check on the girls to see their progress. Working with the teachers is easy they care alot about their students and its nice ot have teachers who care as much as us parents do.
My husband and I tried to be involved in our son's education, we tried to approach the teachers about the importance of an education. We tried to be involved in this school. They don't want you involved. This school cares so much about discipline that it back fires on them. We wanted our son out of advanced math..they refused our request. Think twice!! We moved and the new school system is wonderful! Don't settle!
The discipline here is lagging; only physical issues are addressed here. There are clique issues, so if you have daughters, watch out for them. The teachers are wonderful though, giving help to students to the best of their ability.
this is the best school that i have ever been to. they help you if you need it and if you need to be tutoered then they will.the teachers are great and the safety of the school is even better, and their discipline ...put it this way you don't want to see the principal because whatever you did you will pay for it trust me.
This school is great! I did have a rather large issue but it was quickly resolved and taken care of in a well sorted out and professional manner. The only problems with this school I can think of is the extracurricular activities. And a lot of the student aren't disiplined enough.
