My daughter started at FACS as a Freshman after 3 years in another area private school. She is so happy and has grown as a person and as a student since she's been at FACS. We also have a toddler and will definitely send him to FACS. Love the school, Love the teachers, Love the students!!

As a Graduate of FACS, I recommend this school for any student (PreK-12) regardless of previous educational backgrounds. I graduated 5 years ago, and have noticed the recent increase in student enrollment, which is of no surprise to me as FACS continues to excel in providing a well-rounded Education and Above-Average preparation for life after graduation. - Satisfied Alumnus

I am so enjoying working at FACS. The teachers really care about the students. They help every child (not just the smart or easy to teach kids). The academically smarter kids are challenged without losing focus on the other students. Every student is important. With all of the hardships that students face today at home, it is nice to work in a school that really cares and takes time to listen and help every student.

FACS is a school that does not challenge your student academically. Your student would come home without any homework every night. They are known as the school that gets out when it rains! This is because they have had eight snow days this year. They get out of school if MCS or SCS are out, and they aren't making up any of the eight days they missed! If you want a truly challenging education for your child, look somewhere else. There are plenty of better private schools in Memphis.

I think the school most definitely has their priorities in order! God is our creator, God is in and throughout every class at school. You know what they say... the Light shines from the top down. The Head Master exudes Christ in everything he does and says... and so does the school.

This is our first year at FACS. I have 2 sons in elementary and am very pleased with the teachers. I moved my kids from another private school and was not pleased at the lack of education that they had received from this more expensive school. FACS is really a great elementary school for our children. The teachers are so approachable, listen, happy, and love my boys. The Christ centered atmosphere is so nice. The school is growing and I am excited to see the strides that this school will take in the future. The coaches are also the best. It's nice to actually see coaches at a Christian school with Bibles in their hands.

I have 3 daughters. One was Valedictorian, one was in resource from 5th grade on, and the other is in honors classes. There was something available for all my children at FACS. Resource classes, honor and AP classes for the others.

All of the staff at the school are very nice and gracious, but to a fault. They are people pleasers and those with money are the ones they want to please the most. Over the past couple of years, FACS has not been able to keep new teachers as the administrative staff does not support them in their endeavors to teach. They claim to be a college prepatory school, but shun challenging the students. Your child will succeed here, only because the academics are sub-par. There are a few good teachers, but they are close to retirement. The future of this school does not look very bright. Please do not send your children here!!

It is very fun and you can easily make alot of friends . But most of the kids know when to calm down after or before an activity.I would recomend it as the best school in Tennessee , but also to any parent looking for a school for there child.

I sent my son here after two terrible private school experiences. He hated school. He had fallen behind and struggles with ADHD. He would make up every reason in the book NOT to go to school. FACS has changed this. He is excited about school for the first time ever. He loves the EXTRA program and the music programs he has been able to be a part of. The staff is caring and loves the students. As with all schools they have their problems, but you can not please everyone 100% of the time. I would recommend FACS.

Our FACS experience has been more than disappointing. We have decided to move our child to a school that will better meet the needs of our children. Our child watches 1-2 hours of television each day in his class (snack, lunch and sometimes in the morning upon arrival). His teachers made a lot of empty promises about what they would do to meet his needs academically and keep him challenged (he is advanced academically). There is a lot of teaching to the middle at this school. A lot of worksheets used as teaching methods (as opposed to reinforcing what has been learned). From what we've experienced and after talking with others, we realize if your child is ahead or behind in areas, they are looked over. The school is disorganized, no leadership & definitely lacking overall. Waste of time, energy and money! sad.

I would NEVER recommend this school to anybody. I have attended First Assembly for three years and have hated every minute of it. I regret that my parents ever thought of sending me to this school. The students here are the rudest, most inconsiderate people that you will ever meet. The atmosphere is horrible. There is nothing 'Christian' about this school. The teachers do absolutely nothing and use the time allotted for class to do anything except teach. I have wasted three years at this school learning nothing. If you want your child to enjoy school and have a quality education, do NOT even consider sending them to First Assembly.

I started FACS in 6th grade and that first year was good but as the years went on it just seemed to get worse. The teachers do not do a good job of teaching at all and most of them are not qualified to teach. I think our current principal is not very understanding and has rules that dont really make sense. Dont just send your kids here because it's private becasue honestly sometimes the way kids act, you cannot tell.

My son has attended FACS for 5 years. There several caring and qualified teachers there but the problem is my son has not been challenged enough. They do just enough to get by and the guidance office is the worst! We are on our own when it comes to seeking help and guidance for college. Furthermore, the administration needs to work harder to respond to parental concerns. Not placing callbacks is a big no-no!

I have been associated both as a parent and a teacher with 4 different middle and high schools over the last 25 years, some private, some public. Of all of these schools, I have found FACS to be the most disorganized, most poorly run, least progressive school that I have had any association with. Even public schools offer better!

The administration is weak, usually supporting the desires of a few wealthier parents, rather than the needs of the overall parent community; the teachers are just barely qualified, most not having degrees over a Bachelor's degree, and very few seeking professional education in more modern educational practices and methods; the teachers have very little communication with the parents. However, as small as it is your child can be a star on whatever team or group you put him in!

I went to FACS for 3 years, and hated every minute of it. I never had any homework and the quality of the classes was horrible. The classes only last 45 minutes and the teachers don't even use most of that time to teach. None of the classes challenge your student except for Math with Mr. Flickinger. I completely regret my parents sending me there. I missed out on 3 years where I could have been at a school where I actually learn. Please do not make the mistake of sending your child there if you want them to achieve in life.

We are very pleased with First Assembly Christian School. One thing that stands out about FACS is the caring, loving teachers and staff. You know that you are in a Christian School from your first visit. The academics and sports have been outstanding. There are a variety of courses for your high school student, to include very challenging honors courses. Many of the teachers have been with the school for years and have a strong background both from an experience and academic standpoint. I have no reservation in recommending FACS. We love it.
