I will make this short but not sweet, this school has gone down hill.Aside from a handful of wonderful teachers, most are there just to get a pay check. The principal has run the school into the ground! She dosen't fix issues , only tells you what you want to hear. If your child is a special needs child, like mine is, i would advise you to pick another school. The aids for that class are so mean and yell at them alot! Aside from the fact they push A.R. so hard, they have a aid who helps in the reading lab who is so hateful. Kids go to the reading lab to help them learn how to read, there is no room for bad attitudes and being hateful. If they dont like your child , your child doesnt get the help they need. So if you are thinking of sending your child here I would check into other schools first, maybe even out of county.

It saddens me to see this school at a 5 rating. I remember when I chose to send my child to this school it had a 9 rating. There is a new principal at Cowan and it would appear she has run it into the ground. This shows in the 5 rating. If this is all she has to offer a "ONCE" great school, then she needs to move on. As do any of the teachers who have maxed out and need to just go ahead and retire.

There is a New Principal at Cowan Elementary now and why I do find her pleasant and professional I can see a difference in the school. I don't know if this is due to the teacher 'testing' her limits or what, but I chose this school for my child because I had heard what a great school is was. I have had nothing but problems with the teachers there at CES. (not the principal)

My child is a student at cowan elementary. I love this school. The atmosphere is wonderful. The teachers are great and our principal knows and loves each and every child. Every child that comes here benefits.

I am a former student of Cowan Elementary, and it was one of the best schools I've ever attended. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and the teachers and staff are of the highest quality. I strongly recommend Cowan Elementary to anybody who is looking for a great school for their child.

Cowan Elementary is a wonderful school. You know that you are loved the minute you walk into the door. Mr. Council is a caring, nurturing and positive role model for the students who attend Cowan School. My daughter is in the 2nd Grade and has wonderful and loving teachers every year. The teachers and staff are top notch. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a great school with strong ties to the community and strong parent-teacher relationships.

This school is one of the best in the county. I could not have asked for my children to go to a better school. I have a daughter that has ADD/ with hyperactivity. They have been wonderful with her. The teachers, and staff are great also.
