I am a mother of 1 child that goes to Meigs South, he is in the 3rd grade and his teacher is Mrs Chastain and she is a wonderful teacher, he has been on the honor roll every grade period this year. She takes time with all the students. She is the kind of teacher that every student should have.

I have two children at Meigs South Elementary. I love the closeness of the school family. My oldest son is in the fourth grade. His teacher is Mrs. Baker. Since he has had Mrs. Baker this year, he has excelled in so many ways. He had always had problems in spelling, but this year he has done so much better. He comes home and talks about the different learning games that they do in class. He has been so excited about Mrs. Baker and her teaching methods. I would like to say a big Thank you to Mrs. Baker for all the hard work that you have done and for all that you have put into my child's life.

My nephew attends Meigs South and brings home wonderful papers every week. He is learning such a huge vocabulary. His teacher is Mrs. Chastain. She is very attentive to his needs and it obviously shows! The children in general show great pride in this school. I particularly like the accelerated reading program. My children have grown and flown the nest. All of them attended Meigs Middle and High. Meigs South is a great place to be!!! Mrs. Woods is a wonderful principal and makes each student feel special in her own ways. S. Hardin (aunt to Sean)

I am a grandmother. The Principal interacts with kids/calls them by first name, weekly reading enhancement programs for children & parents. Field trips and programs for the children that includes parents and even the school resource officer. Children file orderly and mannerly to lunch and between rooms. I am just very impressed with the operations and staff which includes even the cafeteria personnel. The kids are very well behaved there and have a great system from entry to exiting the cafeteria. I enjoy every visit and try to involve myself in money making and learning projects that benefit the school, my granddaughter, and myself as well!
