Decherd is an excellent school. I have three children in DES, and I am very happy with all the teachers and the staff.

The quality of learning at Decherd Elementary is excellent. The teachers go out of their way to ensure that students are learning. The safety issue at pick up was scary up until the past 3 years, when Mr. Bishop enforced the Parent Pick Up Line. Now we can feel safe that no one can just come into the school and pick up your child or grab your child when h/she ran out of the school. We have made great gains at DES. Our students are learning and having fun at the same time. Keep up the great work DES!

students are encouraged to excel and are rewarded for a job well done. Parental involvement is excellent and input is always requested on how to improve. Wonderful learning environment!

Judging from the way things were done last year at school I can only hope for them to improve with the new principal. So far he has shown a lot of promise, and a ton of ambition to make the school #1 in the county.
