i love sequatchie county schools it is a good place to learn, the teachers are really nice, and its a good place for children of every age to make friends. I am proud to be a student of SCHS
I couldn't agree more, the extra curricular activities are NECESSARY for success, we left there, it became apparent they are still educating just enough to make some good coal miners.
don't ever expect a snow day because they don't let school out no matter how unsafe it is submitted by a student who believes his life gets put in danger way too much just to make a school look good.
im sorry but as a student i just couldnt agree with this at all. sure the teachers are OK but most of them do not put forth ANY effort to actually challenge us kids. all in all i think the student body cares about one another and if very friendly in general. but a major issue also, is communication between the principal, teachers, students, and parents. i never EVER know whats going on! unless the office announces news over the intercom. and lastly, i dont think they are doing a good jog with getting students ready for college! there needs to be more extracurriculars! especially in the 'arts'.
This school system in very harsh about not letting the kids out for weather or sickness related.
I have been extremely pleased with the quality of education I feel my daughter is receiving at SCHS. Her teachers and the principal know her personally, and care about her not only as a student but as a person. I have two older children who graduated from two other schools, and I believe the environment at Sequatchie is definitely preferable.
The teachers actually care about the students!
