Rock Creek Elementary School

Our oldest child attended this school, and now our youngest is there. It is the best elementary school in Unicoi County (in my opinion.) The building may not be new, but the teachers are wonderful and the principal is top notch. It is a smaller school with only two classes for each grade, so most all of the teachers know all of the students there. It makes for a very friendly, safe feeling environment. We're definitely happy that our children will have the memories of being at Rock Creek.

The teachers and staff are excellent in regards to caring about the children who attend this school. It's a nice feeling to know that the principal knows most of the children by first name and no child will go hungry if they have forgotten their lunch money. Breakfast is served for free to all students. Their reading program is outstanding. Most children are well behaved and violence of any sort between students is not tolerated. This school is serious in its devotion to teaching, yet evokes a fun atmosphere for the children to learn in. School spirit is high and the teachers are well prepared to provide the best possible environment for the children to learn in, as well. I would highly recommend this school to anyone considering sending their children to.
