We love SBA. I'm sad to hear negative reviews, especially about safety issues. Safety is a very important issue, and at SBA, we believe it should always come first. My 2 children and I are actually at the school all day, every day and we feel perfectly safe, comfortable, and at home. If you truly find the school to be unsafe, I hope you have chosen another to better meet your needs.

This school does not really deserve the three rating afforded it by greatschools. It is generally unsafe and without direction.

I love SBA. I myself have spent 20 years in education in various venues. My children have also attended the city school system and Riverside. I mean no disrespect to either of the mentioned systems but I prefer SBA. I think their is much to be said for smaller class sizes and the integration of drama, music and visual art. Both of my children test above grade level in math and reading. I attribute much of this success to their school. My fifth grade son actually tests at 9th grade level. The library staff is phenomenal and goes out of their way to promote reading and takes a unique interest in students. The music instuctor is unbelievable, and they are the only elementary school that I am familiar with that still does a christmas program. We're not even zoned to that school but choose to attend.

I have two students at SBA and we all love it!! My children have been successful academically, socially, and creatively. They are able to learn creative arts as well as state standards. My oldest child has scored in the highest range in every subject on TCAP thanks to knowledgable, dedicated staff who are willing to do whatever it takes to help kids succeed.

This is a great school to work at and I can't imagine being anywhere else. The administration is eager to work with everyone involved in the school from the teachers, staff, parents, and children to individuals that contribute to the schools activities. We are a team and we work for the betterment of our students and their future educational careers. Consider a team of educational professionals that are willing to meet the TN state curriculum in a different way. Come by and visit us at Stone Bridge Academy and see all the fun and exciting things that are going on.

My daughter is graduating from 8th grade this year and has gone to SBA since kindergarten. Her teachers have always gone way over their roll of just teaching her in adademics. They treated her like a child of their own and this is why she is so confident of herself and has been on the high honor roll since 3rd grade. My son is also in 3rd grade this year and has loved all of his teachers as well. He is also on the high honor roll and has many friends. The students at SBA are more like a family and treated very fairly by the teachers as well as the principal. The key to any childs success is being actively involved with their education and vollunteering as a parent at their school. The Art programs are out of this world. Please come and check SBA out for yourself.

I'm an employee at Stone Bridge Academy. I'm proud to say that i have worked in the school system for many years. I have worked at several schools in the system and proud to say that the teachers and staff here at Stone Bridge Academy are truly here for the students.

I am a first year teacher at this school, and I love it here. The teachers and all of the staff are great, and the principal and vice-principal are very supportive. The students love the music and arts program at the school, and the teachers work hard to make every minutes a learning experience.

I have two children at SBA that are 8 and 12 years old. I have been extremely pleased with the school. My 8 year old reads 2 grade levels above his current grade and my 12 year old has been on high honor roll all year. I could not ask for a better academic program. I feel my children are very safe at SBA and we love the school.

I have five children at this school, and my children have never had any problems with bullying. When my oldest children transferred from another school, they actually struggled in some subjects because the curriculum was harder than what they were used to in the city school system. All of my children have enjoyed the arts program. Both the music/band and art teacher are wonderful and energetic. The principal is always willing to help with any problem, if you go to her with your concerns. At every school there will be some problems, but the administration can't fix it if they do not know about it.

I have 3 children in this school and it is a constant struggle to keep them focused on their education due to the bullying. Children of varying grade levels are on recess break together this leads to smaller children being bullied and picked on. The only possibly redeeming factor is the music program. The teacher is awesome and clearly dedicated to ensuring the childrem learn.

This school stinks. Teachers do not adequately supervise students on the playground area. Fights occur in my opinion way to often and typically it is other students that break them up not the assigned teachers/supervisors. Academics are as evaluated on this site the worst in the county. The only thing going for it is the 'Afterschool Program' (also with poor student supervision) and the Arts program.

My child is in Kindergarten at this school and I love it.. Unlike alot of schools Stone Bridge Academy is considered an Art School.. where most schools have cut these programs Stone Bridge keeps them going and I think, that is not only awesome, but better for students! GO WILDCATS! =0)~Ronda

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
