Hey you people who are giving this school such a bad rating because of no child left behind and the TCAP testing.....that's not the teacher's fault. Maybe you should look a little more in depth and see its the state and federal governments fault. They are the ones who require teachers to do this! I am studing to be a teacher and was taught by most of the teachers at SFES when I was in school. They are great people not only inside but out of the classroom, and if you knew how hard it is for teachers maybe you'd understand a little better. The majority would love to not have to teach to the test but are require because their job depeneds on it. So cut them a little slack.

The principal is lacking people skills & experience. The school is unsafe with unreported violence to the community. The teachers are not experienced & the children are being taught the TCAP test all year to keep from scores be low. They spend weeks before going over the test. This gives inaccurate test results.

this school is horrible, the no child left behind is insane. the teachers just dont understand how to teach, so the kids dont get passing grades and they still pass them anyway because of the no child left behind rule.

I think it is wonderful as a whole. My son loves it. I do feel the atmosphere from the teachers, outside the classroom, could be a little warmer. And by that, I mean all parents should be greeted warmly.

I think this is a really good school. Although, the teachers could communicate more about the large amount of homework given, most time learning should be spent in the classroom. Would like problems addressed more, I sent several notes to my daughters teacher and they where pretty much not taken seriously.
