I feel this school needs to be more positive and supportive of students needs. They have no positive incentives, nothing for students to be excited about or look forward to. Maybe a jeans day on Fridays for good behavior, attendance etc. would help, anything positive would help! Some teachers are very unprofessional and portray the atmosphere of a high drama reality show. Inappropriate/negative remarks/comments made to students.I have seen some teachers who rise above the drama and give all they have to help a child succeed, they have to be mentioned here because they are the unspoken heroes. It is even more important in this type of environment. Overall this school needs some work on Positivity, Professionalism, Ethics, and Student Support (for all students, not just a selected few). Some teachers also need to be held accountable for their negative actions and uncaring attitudes. If they do not want to help students then why are they teaching. Is it only for a paycheck? Who is paying attention, anyone?

Went there, and LOVED it! GO pounders! YES, there were "bad eggs" in the school but they were disciplined and the teachers are very dedicated

this was the best four years of my education...not only did I have a good time but the teachers and the administrators made Central one of the best schools in Hamilton County

Great students, teachers, and principal. This is a very safe and highly academic place for my child to attend school. I highly recommend...I removed my child from private school because this school has rigorus AP courses and strict discipline plans.

CHS is a good school that seems to be getting better and better each year. Discipline is strong, my child takes AP courses and is involved in several extra-curricular activities. The campus also looks better than it has in years.

I, honestly believe that this is one of the worst schools I have ever seen. My son and I have moved a lot and my son has gone too a lot of different schools and I personally believe this is the worst. The teachers aren't doing all they can to help the students, the education and homework is amateur. If you do wan't to get involved the school makes it nearly impossible to do so and they really only provide the absolute basic's for the children.

We have two sons attending central. We are very pleased with the staff, quality of education, and support from the administration. In the past two years, our principal has turned this school around with tighter control over discipline and by utiliizing a dress code. Central is off of the 'no child left behind' list. What you personally put into a school is what you get out of a school! stay involved with your child's school, join the pta, become a sports booster, etc. Get involved!!

It is impossible to comment on the education given when, for the most part, one isn't. The teachers aren't reliable and do not work well with the parents. Students aren't discipled properly. The school is filty.

CHS has the best teachers ever. The dedication and concern for each of these kids is unsurpassed. We were 'zoned' for either CHS or another school, and we chose CHS. We haven't been disapointed yet. A school with pride and a lot of 'heart'. They have an excellent music program, too. Fantastic band.

I believe Chattanooga Central High School is a great school. Teachers will work with you if you have problems and they have a great sports program. The coaches really push you to do your best and you always learn something from them. The band also has a good program, including jazz band and marching band. They also offer a variety of extra curricular activities, including fundraisers and community services. This is a great school. Go Pounder Football!
