What a fantastic new leader and assistant leader! They have allowed new and amazing things to begin happening in this formerly very traditional school. As the county mandates changes, the leaders are supportive and understand not all children learn the same way and not all teachers teach the same way. This is vital when it comes to allowing flexible learning for each class as they are all different. As for the teaching staff, there are many different types of teachers and teaching styles as there are types of learners. My 1st grader will continue to learn amazing things throughout his school years.

What a great new principal! There's still an involved PTA, helpful office staff, adequate play space, quality before and after care, fantastic music teacher, hard working librarian and super teachers with interventionists to assist in learning for children, but our new principal has breathed new life into what has always been a high quality school.

Hixson Elementary is a great school. I have one child in third grade and will have one in Kindergaten next year. The principal is a great leader and the parents are always welcome to volunteer. They have a wonderful music program and a PTA that is doing many things to help with supplies needed to support the school. Keep up the good work H.E.S.

It is my opinion that the principal of Hixson Elementary should how to be a better example for the students of her school. She should also learn to give someone all the details of a situation and not pick and choose the 'bad' words she states were used. She should also understand that most people, not all, are offended by the use of the 'N' word as well as other 'bad' words.
