This school, like almost all in Washington County is pathetic. My wife is a teacher and she is appalled at the lack of competence of the educators. Example: we contiually get correspondence from our child's teachers wherein grossly incorrect English is used. I suppose this is no surprise as there is no effort to promote diversity (almost all teachers are local and trained at local colleges), and there is very little specialized / meaninful continuing education. If you move to this area make sure you live in one of the cities - the difference is night and day as some of the State's best school systems are adjacent to some of its worst.

Academics are highly stressed by teachers and adminstration. Art, Music, Phy. Ed. are part of the school program. Sports are in high demand, there are 4 baseball fields, large gym, and coaches for baseball, football, track, soccer, and T-ball. Parents could be more involved. Some teachers will stay after school and tutor without pay. Adminstration seems to favor certain teachers over others. There is at least one teacher per grade level in k-4 that get more of the slow and rowdy children. This shouls be changed. The adminstration needs to take a look at this problem. How can those teachers make progress without children who can and will do? This reflects on the teacher year after year. When subs notice this, it is a problem.
