HMS has a great staff that clearly has the goal of establishing the best possible learning environment that a student could use, there is absolutely No Child Left Behind in this school!

I do believe that a lot could be done to make Halls Middle Schools better. It will need to be done through parent involvement. The teachers need to be help accountable for there lesson plans and their counterproductive attitudes.

I have a child at Halls Middle and think the teaching staff is below par. An atmosphere like that however, starts at the top of the school administration and with parents.

Hi I am an 8th Grader at halls middle and I Love it there. Ive met so many good friends and nice people there. Some of the teachers are strict though but only because they care about our grades and how we do in school. I never liked going to school and now I can t wait to wake up and go. I would most defiantly recommend halls middle because it s a great school.

I know this is a great school. I went there in the 70's. I have a child there now. I have had two children go through Halls Middle. I have had several nieces and nephews go through and are there now. After Halls High I went on to the University of Tennessee and graduated on the Deans list. I am working on my third child to comlete her education at Halls Middle. There is no better person than Mr. Jay Wormsley. Mr Oliver and his staff really take their job seriously. I have been blessed with them. My children are average to honor roll. Everything they have been involved in, good or bad has been handled fairly. Some teachers are still there and my children have had some of them. They are still very enthusiastic.

This school is a horrible place to learn. I have two kids of the same age that attend the schools 8th grade. They are, in my opinion, mistreated by the staff, and by the students. The staff do not put their all into teaching. The kids are strongly judgmental, and the teachers do a bad job of controlling them and their actions. I would never recommend this school (or the district for that matter) to a friend. The school also has a history of racism.
