We have had a very positive experience at New Hopewell with both our son and daughter. Melanie Harb, the principal, is very responsive to parent concerns.
As a parent , I would rate this school outstanding- the teachers, principal and office staff are all excellent. They do a great job with the limited resources they are allocated from the government- for those who are skeptical you may want to go and volunteer at the school and see how dedicated the employees are to ensure our children are receiving the best education they can, despite the limited resources they have.
Principal is the worst. Does not work with parents. Three of the best teachers in the school quit last year and I pulled all three of my kids out half way thru the year. Principal only cares about test scores and money not our kids. I wouldn't send my dog here.
I have had three children attend New Hopewell Elementary. The teachers have all been extremely supportive and understanding of each of my children's needs. I am very happy with the education my children have received at New Hopewell.
My daughter started going to school at New Hopewell last year. Her teacher was Ms. McFarland. I have to truly say that she was a blessing in my child's life. She went out of her way to make her feel at home and at ease. (She did that for me as well!) All of the employees of this school are truly wonderful people and I could not be happier with the care that my child is recieving.
New Hopewell Elementary is a good school, but if your child has special needs or a leaning disability look for other schools. They only report the educated children that do well.
Our experience has been a good one at New Hopewell. Teachers are very open and encourage parents to help. It is a smaller school which allows for individual attention to each childs needs.
this school really cares about its students. At times the teachers cab be a bit blind to whats going on. out of a hundred I would give it 85%.
