It is an honor to be part of this school! The staff is dedicated and care for both students and parents.
Mooreland heights is a very awsome skl! the staff goes beyond the call of need to help not only the students but the family, and community to!
Mooreland Heights is a wonderful school. It is a public school but I firmly believe that my family could not receive a better education at a private school.
Principal is by far the most dedicated I have seen at a school thus far. He really loves his job and the being where he is everyday. I do believe this school is something personal to him. The teachers however, are another story. I have two children there and neither has had teachers I can say I am completely satisfied with. They do not teach what they should be and my children are lacking in areas they shouldn't be like reading, spelling, and even basic letters and sounds for the pres-k and k grades. This is definitely reflective in the the TCAP scores. Also the school does not have enough parent teacher conferences leaving the parents guessing as to their kids progress and curriculum. The quarterly reports aren't accurate nor good enough. Bottom line: school needs improvement. Teachers are lacking and need to develop better curriculum's and communication.
Mooreland Heights is a wonderful school. I have three children, two of which attend this school and I only wish that my oldest could have attended as well. The principal works very hard to involve the parents as much as possible. The teachers are a dying breed. There are teachers that spend most of their summer preparing for the upcoming year and others that spend every weekend getting ready for the week ahead. The teacher conferences are very informative and you could have knocked me over with a feather when I got a phone call one evening just to let me know how well my daughter was doing. They encourage parent involvement and make everyone feel as if they are a part of a very loving family. This is a one of a kind school. The community is very involved as well. Any child would be very lucky to attend.
We have been so pleased with Mooreland Heights Elementary. It has wonderful leaders and quality teachers. The small school has been a blessing in our big, busy world.
Mooreland Heights is an excellant school. It is very small and all the teachers and the principal know the names of all the kids. They are very involved and caring. I wouldn't have my child anywhere else!!
