This school has absolutey no fun events that would bring out there students. They got our whole class of 2010 excited about 1. graduatine early and 2 getting prom elsewere than the gym. They even had us vote on both than lie to us. This school is a joke and my highschool years were not one bit fun.

My children have attended MCHS and I was sadly disappointed in the quality of education. The young teachers, and there are many, are more worried about being a friend of the students instead of their educator. This school has had 5 principals in the last six years and this has ben bad for the discipline and the academics. If I had any other choice of schools to send my other children I would move them ASAP. MCHS was once a great school, now in my opinion it is a not so great school

I am a graduate of Macon County and would not have chosen any other school. I felt my teachers cared about me and worked to prepare me for college. I am glad for my children to go there rather that a larger district that has many other problems that we will not face in Macon County.

I also agree with the other reviews the teachers are more worried about what the kids are wearing than what goes into are kids minds...we as parents have voiced are opinions in the past about this ,but seem to be over looked because we don't know whats good for are own kids, (per Teachers) in closing are schools are a great disapointment not because of are kids but because of are school leaderships they are the biggest problem we need someone who cares more about the kids than the apperence of the kid...we are regular people not high class rich people.

Honestly I think MCHS could do a lot better. I'm currently a student and I regret ever coming here. The teachers care more about our dress code and name tags more than our education. I come to school to get a better job and/or go to college in the near future, not impress everyone by the way I dress. Macon County School Board should worry more about our education, people are starting to regret coming to this school.
