After having met with the principal, school counselor, and several of the teachers it was very obvious that they love and care for each and every student. They stop to take time with every individual child who may need attention or support and they also go out of their way to aid and assist the parents. I sat with the principal once in the lunchroom who knew so many of the students by name and could tell me their stories. I listened as the counselor tearfully shared her desire to fix all the problems students faced. And I visited classrooms of teachers who bragged on ALL their students. It has been an honor to be one of the many volunteers at Ingram Sowell. I give them 5 stars!
If you are looking for an elementary school where all children are loved, Ingram Sowell Elementary is the school for you! The entire staff of Ingram Sowell are easily accessible to parents and students alike, setting this elementary school far above any other in this area. The principal, Dr. Gina Haddix, is a hands-on, encouraging leader. She prides herself in knowing her students individually. Dr. Haddix has surrounded herself with a staff that actually enjoys teaching children. From the brightly painted classrooms and hallways, to the ever-changing outdoor track and outdoor classroom, Ingram Sowell is securing it s place at the forefront in Tennessee s education. Still think that all schools are the same? I encourage you to visit Ingram Sowell Elementary School for proof that all public education is not created equal.
great school for any child.
'My children have gone to ISES for 4 years now. ICES is a school where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best without being labeled as the smart or dumb kids. They have a program called No Child Left Behind. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind and she knows each child by name. She is a respectful, highly educated person. She does her best at helping when there are problems. My Son needed to be switched to a different teacher this year, and she was right on top of it, within two days my child was in a different classroom.
