Had a very hard year for 2009-2010 for my 4th grade son. One of three teachers seemed to pick on several students. Each student said the teacher would have them copy work from the board and she sat text messaging or surfing the web. Thank God the other 2 teachers, they are the only reason we survived!!

This school is like stepping back in time. The hallways are clean and shiny. The staff makes you and your child feel important. It gives you the feeling of the way school was back in time. Like my time 1962

My son started kindergarten this year at Carroll Oakland- I was very concerned because he has severe peanut allergies. The staff from the principal to the head of the cafeteria were wonderful and have been so incredibly nice and informative and helpful in assuring me that they would take excellent care of my son . The principal is wonderful, his teacher Ms. Gentry is fantastic and his experience for the first weeks at Carroll Oakland has been nothing but positive. They have helped him to adjust. I am very well please with this school and the fact my son loves it!!!

My granddgt was enrolled in your school last year after attending Friendship Christian. Her grades, behavior and attitude have all improved and she loves Carroll Oakland. So thankful, we made the decision to pull her out of private and send her to this school

I don't think this school is THAT good. My son has been here since 5th grade and going in 8th. 5th grade was great for the most part. Then after that it kept getting worse. But this year we have a new principal thank goodness. But the 5th-8th teachers are good-for the most part. Some I just don't understand.

My grandson has attended K and 1st grade at CO and he received an excellent foundation for learning. He could not read and had only some basics of ABC's and numbers when entering K and now he is reading at 2nd grade level and loves it! His teaches gave him the best gift - a love of learning and confidence he could do it!

It used to be my old school, some of the teachers are still their after 27 years. We love it, the principal is the most caring and supportive of any principal that I have ever seen, the teachers go an extra mile for the students and parents. parents are encouraged to come in and volunteer. The school is up to date on everything. When you become involved with carroll oakland you get more than an education you learn what family is all about. everybody knows you when you walk in and they will always speak to you, my daughter has been their for 2 years. she has always made principals list or honor roll. she works for it too, but she understands when shes finished. shes a 4th grade now and we love all of her teachers. Its alot of fun and work for students and teachers. THANKS CO FACULTY.
