I am very pleased with this school. I am the parent of one gifted child in another school and my third grader is very intelligent as well. The teachers work hard to push him and make sure he is challenged. The only thing negative i have come across is grading him wrong on spelling because he does not form his letters the way they require. Coming from Williamson County Schools, where they are taught to write differently, this is frustrating to him. I am over all pleased with the school system in East Hickman !!

EPIC! The new after school program at East Hickman Intermediate School is awesome. The teachers are excellent. Students are learning so much and are very excited to be attending the new program.

The office staff and Principal are by far the most rude I have ever encountered. They are not parent friendly at all, nor do they care about the special needs a child may need. THE RULES ARE THE RULES AND THEY AREN'T CHANGING THEM FOR ANYONE IS WHAT I WAS TOLD. This school may as well be a PRISON and YOU (the parent) ARE NOT ALLOWED IN to walk your child (that is new to the school, is shy and scared at 8yrs old) to class. This is a HUGE adjustment to a 3rd grader. I think they could have some compassion the 1st week of school (apparently after 2nd grade you are no longer in Elementary School in Hickman County). How are you supposed to get to know your child's teacher if you are not able to communicate with the teacher except through email or phone? I can communicate by email just as easily with someone in prison and think you know who you are talking to when really you don't. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone or on punked and I'm still waiting for Ashton to appear...THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL EVER AS FAR AS WORKING WITH TEACHER/PARENT/CHILD!!!!!! The teacher seems nice enough but I have only been ALLOWED to speak with her 2x so I can't make an accurate eval on her at this time.

Education and the welfare of the students are the main concerns for our students. The teachers are the best.

I think this is a great school. My child is in third grade, and those third grade teachers are wonderful. They are smiling every time I walk down that hall.

This school would be excellent if the office staff were better. Mrs. Dick is wonderful but the rest of the office staff has been nothing but rude every time Ive been in there.

East Hickman Intermediate is a wonderful school. The teachers are very friendly and work extremely hard to teach students skills they will need for life. I do wish more parents would become involved in their child's learning and activities at school. It is a great school to be involved in.
