Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

We have been at MCS for five years. My two children have only been at MCS. I love that the things my children are being taught at home are reinforced at school. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the whole child.

Having recently moved here from Chattanooga where my daughter attended Chattanooga Christian it was going to be hard to find another school that could compete with CCS. She visited several local Christian schools and was made most welcome by the students at Maryville Christian. She chose MCS and for her it has been such a blessing. I could not have dreamed of such a wonderful place for her from both a educational and spiritual perspective.

My kids started when they were in Pre-K and we could not be happier. Christian values taught, small classroom sizes, and rigorous academic standards make this an ideal learning environment. Students are challenged by their abilities. There are also programs in place for struggling learners. We love this school and count the staff and other kids and their parents as family! Highly recommend!

It is a place were my children have grown academically and socially. The teachers have smaller classes and can give my children more attention when needed. My children feel free to be themselves at MCS. The most important aspect about MCS is the spiritual aspect. My kids are able to learn about the Bible and grow in the faith that we believe in!

In addition to the quality education students receive, the environment is very caring allowing students to feel safe and loved.

I love MCS because it is a school that integrates scripture in everything that is taught. The teachers truly care for each student and desire each to grow academically and spiritually.

MCS provides a great support for parents by reinforcing what children are taught at home. Small class sizes - not larger than 20 in elementary school are great for teacher help and attention.

We moved our child from the Maryville City School system to MCS this year. What a refreshing change! Despite all the hype about Maryville City Schools, he was actually behind in some areas. We have been blown away by the individual attention and interest shown by all of his teachers and the school staff. He is actually learning in the classroom! Before, we were teaching him each night what the public school teachers were unable to cover in their over-crowded and regulated classrooms. Grades are posted immediately on-line and his teachers actually contact us to discuss his progress. The homework load is reasonable now and expectations are clear. The other students have been friendly and welcoming. Every student has an opportunity to play various sports and the music program is great. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased and plan to enroll all of my children in MCS in future

We moved here this year and after much research we picked MCS. We are so glad we did. We are very pleased with the teachers and children that attend this school. If you are looking into schools we would recommend coming here.

I am an alumni of Maryville Christian. I graduated in 2007 and I was accepted to EVERY college I applied to. I received scholarships for academics, leadership, Christian character, and athletics. I learned so much about my faith and how to defend it at MCS that I could never show my gratitude enough. I do not believe that someone who walks into MCS with the attitude of someone who wants to learn and grow could not succeed in that atmosphere. The faculty and student body are some of the greatest people I've ever known and to this day I still talk to and hang out my friends and the staff of MCS. The bonds I made there will never be broken and I thank God for my time there. I wish I could be 17 again to enjoy just a little more time at MCS.

i used to attend this school and my parents pulled me out after a year and a half for many reasons, but mainly because they felt the amount of money they were paying for the education i was getting did not equal out. they were paying about $7,000 tuition for a mediocre education. they school fails to offer an accelerated program for early graduation, hidden costs are required it seems like every week. i personally encountered many flaws in morals and ethics of other students such as racism and some students were just hateful, showing people the unending love of God.

I am a parent at MCS. I believe in this school. It is not perfect, no school is. But the benefits are far outweigh the negatives. To know your children are being taught to integrate biblical facts in every subject. No boundaries placed on God. So when they are rooted in their walk, they are equipped to be the salt and light of this world. A Concerned for our World Parent.

We removed our child from this school. She was bullied and picked on by one child-the same child who had bullied other children for the previous 3 yrs. They did NOTHING in spite of our frequent requests. Not only that, but the amount of homework was staggering, it seemed they did absolutely nothing in the classroom.

I think that the comments below are from parents that care nothing about christianity in their children's lives. I graduated from this school, and think the comment that the teachers are 'tired' is horrible. If these 'parents' knew how much work these teachers do on their off time (summer) they would understand why they are so tired! It is expensive because we get no financial help from the government.Of course the prices are high, how are they supposed to pay the bills? There are many disciplinary actions taken, many students have been suspended or expelled because their actions were not acceptable. And the gpa comment is quite funny.I am in college and right now I am still going for free because my education prepared me well for college.

This school is a Christian school, but it should be noted that it is a school where the elite or rich send their children. Every-day Christians who want their children to benefit from the small class size and advanced curriculum do not stand a chance of being able to afford this school. It is very sad. My child attended this school for a few years. We had to take her out because their tuition priced us right out the door. While they do offer financial aid--you have to hand them over all of your personal and financial information to even qualify, right down to a tithe record. There is a lack of 'free' activities. Everything they do comes with a note wanting more money. Between the books, tuition, clothes, lunch money and the little extras that are thrown in every couple of weeks, it'll put you in the poor house.

I love this school. Not only do I have 2 children attending, but I have also substitute taught with the Middle School and had a great time! They pull together as a family and pray when there is a tragedy, you will never get that public school-there is power is prayer. There is nothing like going to a Parent-Teacher conference and starting it in prayer, or praise and worshipping with the middle and high school students. Academically there is no comparison.

I believe this school is great and would recommend it to everyone. This school is a year to a year and a half above other schools in academics. My kids were reading by Oct. or Nov. at the age of just turned 5 yrs. old on Sept. 30th. Also she's gotten all above averages on her achievements tests. Also in grade k she was reading on levels of 3rd grade. Now just finished 4th, her SAT's were in the high 90's-100 in every subject. She's gotton an award from Duke Univ. on being so well advanced. I own it all to the school. Godly school, caring teachers, parents always helping out, They make me and my family (4 kids) who attend feel very special. We got 11th place in the nation in Chess, Also placed very well in Math. We have basketball, baseball, Cheerleading,AR reading programs, etc. Godly place!

This school is very poor. it has very minimal GPAs for high school students. There is very little disciplinary action taken when a child has disobeyed the rules. The staff seems very tired and at the point of quitting. My child is better off in public school. I do not advise that anyone put their child(ren) in this school.

This school academic programs are very poor. This school does not have that many extracurricular activites. The parent involvement is very poor. The discipline level is very low and the counselors do not take up that much time with the student. I removed my child from this school and I wouldn't want anyone puting their child in it either.
