My child was staying constantly sick with asthma and allergies her prek and kindergarten years. I took her out and home schooled her for 2 years using A Beka Academy for the curriculum. I put her back in school for 3rd grade and once again was sick and back on her inhalers and med. So it being in 10/2012 I decided to try TNVA with money kind of tight for A Beka. Well I've had nothing but problems. Got books on 11-13-12 and teacher didn't call me until 11-27-12. Told me to do assessment test on certain lesson to see where my child was. This was not how I was told it would work by TNVA representatives. I then decided to withdrawl her and go back to A Beka. I CANNOT get them to release her. I told the teacher when her start date with A Beka was and have talked to a lady numerous times at the local office and she's tried to help. I was told me to email my letter of enrollment to a lady and she has never once contacted me and it's just been a mess! There's lots more to this but not enough room to put down all! I would never use this place again. NOBODY is willing to help. Even contacted the teacher's supervisor when I couldn't get help with the teacher and she never replied!!!

I have been with TNVA for 2 years, since it's beginning. This school is having some issues, but not all of that is them they took a very hard hit last year because TCAP scores weren't where Union County and the State Board of Education thought they should be. Consequently things have been done that has taken away some of the pluses for this school. That being said I absolutely love this school, my children, I have 2 enrolled, are thriving in this school, because they can take their time learning one concept and breeze through others. My oldest, which I choose to hold back in the 5th grade this year is reading above grade level now and on her way to excelling in everything. When she left B&M she could barely read at a 3rd grade level. My son, 1st grade, who is Autistic is very ahead 3rd to 4th grade level in all subjects except reading. With two phenomenal teachers to help, going above and beyond there duties he has excelled and is now reading. This school is not for everyone, but if you are will to work hard and put in the time, this school is for you.

We sat in limbo for two weeks falling behind in work waiting on instructions for what to do and for a teacher. We were told he had a ton of work to complete in a weeks time when we came in in the first weeks of September. After sitting through a virtual class of history and hearing the teacher say they weren't really going to worry about the world history part just what the state wanted I was not happy at all. Children sounded confused about basic lessons and the time and number of different things they required were ridiculous. We had no teacher till the second week of October when we had enough and decided to withdraw. Glad I did when I spoke to the teacher and even she said that the k12 programs cirriculum wasn't even the state required one... it was something else totally and that is a serious issue if they are not even teaching what the state requires. No wonder they are scoring so poorly on TCAPS from that school. Glad we dropped it but still in limbo months later on our paperwork. Never again

This school is absolutely fantastic. After having issues with bullies at our local LEA school, I pulled my 3 kids out of the school system with intentions of homeschooling. When I found this program, I opted for K12 instead. TNVA is a fantastic option for parents/students who want to school at home. The program is not only fun, it's also quite a bit more educational that regular B&M schools. I was highly impressed last year (2011-2012 school year) with the curriculum, the administration and even the teachers. My kids will never step foot into a B&M school again!

TNVA has been an answer to many prayers for my sons education. I have been able to be COMPLETELY hands on with my sons education and watch him grow and learn. The curriculum is far above the curriculum in my county brick and mortar schools.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
