Word of faith christian academy is not the worst school in memphis but its not the best either./goldiggers

This school is lacking in quality teachers. My children went to this school and at the end of the year they had not covered half of the materials in their books. One teacher totally bothers the children, not teach the children.

My granddaughter attends wofca she's in K-3 I'm very impressed, she knows all her ABC's, counts from 1-20, knows her colors and much more. I encourge everyone if you can enroll your children(s) it's the best learning a child can receive!

I am a single mother of three. My children are starting their fourth year at WOFCA. They are all Honor Roll students. My oldest child had always struggled in school, and the other two were so advanced that they would get bored with school. At WOFCA, each of them has excelled not only in Academis but in extracurricular activities. They have made my job as a single Mom much easier and for that I will forever be greatful.

I have been familiar with WOFCA since its beginning. I had heard about the great things that they had done. When my nephew moved here after struggling in school with academic and conduct problems I knew that WOFCA was the answer. He is now one of their best students. Their strong academic program and discipline provided him with the structure that he needed to may good choices. My nephew continues to make me proud, and I would strongly recomend WOFCA to other parents.

My daughter was a student at WOFCA from K4 - 3rd grade. Once she reached 1st grade things went down hill. The teachers and the principal seemed to be some of the most uneducated people I'd ever met. They did busy work all day- just to keep the children from getting in the teacher's way. They would sometimes write 1 -50 as many times as they could during the 7 hour school day. There were some nice teachers- but you can't learn from nice. By the end of 3rd grade my daughter was so far behind that she couldn't pass the tests to get into other private schools. I had to buy special books and teach her myself. If you truly care about your child's education, take my advice and avoid making the same mistake that I did.

WOFCA is a wonderful school. The school enforces academic excellence. I truly loved the staff and teachers. I was truly amazed at how much my daughter knew once completing her grade there. I will definately continue to send my daughter to this school. I wish it went through 12th grade.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
