My child is a kindergartner. To me, I honestly think this is the best school for children. I love the small classrooms -- no more than 12 kids are in his class I think. They really teach the kids. He came to the school this year not reading and now he can sound out just about any three letter word and spell it. One thing I can definitely say is this school is ADVANCED. My child has already started cursive writing and is up to ten spelling words a week. They have tests ( math, bible, spelling, reading, etc) They get real grades, not just happy face, sad face, good job, but real grades. I think if you are not going to take the time to reinforce what your child is doing and make sure they do the homework then this may not be the school for you. As I stated this school is tough and advanced in academics, but don't let that deter you or scare you because for some reason your child can learn. They are also strict when it comes to discipline. I am so glad I found this school especially since after care is included. I am telling you that this is by far the best school that your child can go to to get a WONDERFUL loving nurturing education

My kids have attended this school since daycare age and now my daughter is in the 2nd grade and my son is in kindergarten. They love this school and so do I. My kids are in a loving, nurturing environment. The teachers and staff take the time to know your kids and they care for them as their very own. My kids are performing academically, well above some of their friends and relatives at other school. When my kids attend Sunday school or summer camps at churches, the instructors are always surprised at the level of biblical knowledge they possess. WOFCA is such a blessing to our family!

I was a student a word of faith christian academy for a short time and in that short time I acomplished nothing the teachers never teach and if they do its just busy work .This school is just out to scam parents out of their money never have I seem a school who charges withdrawal fees that are to expensive they do that so you can keep you child at that school. Word of faith christian academy is not the worst school in memphis but its not the best either./goldiggers

This school is lacking in quality teachers. My children went to this school and at the end of the year they had not covered half of the materials in their books. One teacher totally bothers the children, not teach the children.

My granddaughter attends wofca she's in K-3 I'm very impressed, she knows all her ABC's, counts from 1-20, knows her colors and much more. I encourge everyone if you can enroll your children(s) it's the best learning a child can receive!

I am a single mother of three. My children are starting their fourth year at WOFCA. They are all Honor Roll students. My oldest child had always struggled in school, and the other two were so advanced that they would get bored with school. At WOFCA, each of them has excelled not only in Academis but in extracurricular activities. They have made my job as a single Mom much easier and for that I will forever be greatful.

I have been familiar with WOFCA since its beginning. I had heard about the great things that they had done. When my nephew moved here after struggling in school with academic and conduct problems I knew that WOFCA was the answer. He is now one of their best students. Their strong academic program and discipline provided him with the structure that he needed to may good choices. My nephew continues to make me proud, and I would strongly recomend WOFCA to other parents.

My daughter was a student at WOFCA from K4 - 3rd grade. Once she reached 1st grade things went down hill. The teachers and the principal seemed to be some of the most uneducated people I'd ever met. They did busy work all day- just to keep the children from getting in the teacher's way. They would sometimes write 1 -50 as many times as they could during the 7 hour school day. There were some nice teachers- but you can't learn from nice. By the end of 3rd grade my daughter was so far behind that she couldn't pass the tests to get into other private schools. I had to buy special books and teach her myself. If you truly care about your child's education, take my advice and avoid making the same mistake that I did.

WOFCA is a wonderful school. The school enforces academic excellence. I truly loved the staff and teachers. I was truly amazed at how much my daughter knew once completing her grade there. I will definately continue to send my daughter to this school. I wish it went through 12th grade.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
