They are not an across the board institution. The scholars earn their keep for sure. They go hard for everyone who really tries to achieve their goals. There's no sugarcoating. From what I've observed, they enforce their rules and conduct things fair and square. They really go hard for their students and staff members as well.
KIPP Memphis Collegiate Schools formerly KIPP DIAMOND Academy had an extremely high teacher turn over rate. This school year about half of the middle school teacher at KMCM left before the end of the first semester. In addition to teachers leaving the principal left during Thanksgiving break. High teacher turn over was also seen at their high school When questioned by parents, the executive director gave very vague answers. Now it's the end of the year and my child has informed me that more teachers & staff will not return. Some of the teachers & staff included have been with the school for over 4 years. This is not the KIPP school my children first entered in the 5th grade. There is no more school pride. Value were reinforced at KIPP, I don't see that this year, with the newer teachers and students. KIPP can improve they go back to it's old values. The executive director should determine if he is really the problem.
