I have not had a good experience with this school at all!!!!! The bad thing is my child is in kingergarten and will not be back next year.
I will have to agree that some of the teachers are great and do not fit into the group of the not so great ones i am talking about. However, after leaving that school and sending them to another school(private), I saw how far behind they actually were. The teachers are concerned mostly with TCAP scores. The principal is very unprofessional and could have cared less about my children. She did not even know their names or that they were related. She is not involved with the kids and the activities that go on at the school. i know all this because i was a very involved parent. So many things are swept under the carpet at this little school nestled in the woods. Parents would be floored to hear how some of the teachers really talk about their children to other teachers and parents. I Thank God we no longer are part of the gossiping, mis-treating of students that goes on at this school.
Jeter is a wonderful school and the teachers are outstanding. The school administration, teachers, parents and students all work together to ensure the best in accidemics and achievements. The PTA does an great job, and there is a lot of communication from the teachers.
E.E. Jeter is an fairly good school, however, there is not enough racial diversity in the teacher popoulation. Also, the principal lacks professionalism and fairness to all parents particulary African-American parents and she is an African-American herself.
I had heard of the other elementary schools in Millington, tried one of them, and have found E.E. Jeter to be the best by far. It is small and the teachers can get to a degree- personal and teach them individually their specific needs. The best elementary school in the county.
I am a parent of two children at Jeter. My son is in the 5th grade and he has loved this school since his first day. My daughter is in 1st grade and she also likes school. Their teachers have always gone out of their way to make sure our children grasp the concepts that they are teaching. This is a perfect school example of what a public elementary school should be.
Jeter is a great little school. The teachers are outstanding. They have almost always exceeded my expectations. I am proud to say there is a large ammount of parental involvement at this school. The PTA does an awesome job, and there is a lot of communication from the teachers.
E.E. Jeter is a rare jewel in the school system. It is unmatched in offering children the kind of teachers that we (grandparents) remembered from our days. Everyone is on the same page, the same team and our teachers prove each year by TCAP scores of their students just what it means to be able to really teach young people and what it means for parents/grandparents to be involved. Attend any Jeter event...you won't find a parking place easily. We are so proud of our grandson and thank God that there is a school like Jeter that is available for him. Mrs. Higgs
Our family was veryproud to say that we sent our kids to this school. We love the way all the teachers talk and listned to the children.
