I really like and care about West Elementary because they take the time to know each student and make them feel special. Each staff member knows the students by name, and the students have a good environment in which to grow and learn. West Elementary is also a small school in a small town with a diverse student body.

Excellent curriculum, caring teachers. My two boys love going to school. Great reading and math program. They get the right amount of homework, too.

This school is highly recommended by my family. They have great teachers that care for there students. If students come in and can not afford things they need, my sons teacher takes money out of her own pocket to provide for her students. I have had an experience with the local schools and this school is yet, the highest on my list. My son is also got ADHD real bad and his teacher has worked miracles with him, I just love his teacher Mrs. Cady she teaches the 1st grade.

I have two children that have gone to West Elementary School. My oldest (16) is now at West High School and in all honors classes. Her younger brother (10) will be going into 4th grade this fall. He has absolutely the best teachers that welcome parental involvement. He is a gifted child and I feel that he has gotten the extra classroom work needed to stay on top. I know for a fact that this school prepares the children for the real world. You have to consider the whole school population when you look at testing scores. The school itself is zoned for children of all socio-economic backgrounds and you should remember that when looking at test scores. It's hard to score high on a test when you don't speak English!

My three children ages 11, 9, and 6 attend West Elem. Withthe exception my oldest has gone off to Middle School. But the school is wonderful, and took care of the needs of my oldest child. Coming from a major city I was nervous about a small town school, but I wouldn't change the experience for the world. The entire day for the children is wonderful, from the non stressful drop off to the pick up in the afternoons.

My son is in the second grade and has gone to West Elem from kindergarden to now. He got GREAT teaching from day one. He is reading on a third grade level and retaining. As a parent I can be involved w/ his class as much as I desire. My help is welcomed by his teacher and the principal. They have a great mucic department that is shared w/ us at special meetings.
