I have had 2 daughters attend this school and have had nothing but problems from day 1. We have dealt with bullies, both student and teachers, among a variety of other issues. Speaking with administration solves nothing.
Week 4 of' 09-10 school year, 6th grade: most teachers seem caring, involved, enthusiastic, good ideas, etc -BIG disappointment & frustration: the kids are extremely limited in the non-academic opportunities available: There is NO Art class offered for any of the mid.school grades, ever. The kids are only permitted to participate in one of: Band OR Choir/drama OR Gym/P.E. Only the kids in Gym have the additional opportunity to have Health class & Computer class. Only the kids in Choir get the opportunity to be in 'Drama' & the Play produced later in the year. The first day of school the kids must choose which of the 3 they want to do & then must stay in that niche the entire yr. From what I'm told, It might be possible to petition for a change later in the year, bu seems to take alot of hoop-jumping.
