Munford High School

Munford has continued to improve in every way for the the three years my family has lived here. We are extremely impressed with how the school administrators have dealt with some very difficult issues (unexpected death of faculty and administrative personnel) as well as student disiplinary problems. The school is like an extended family that truly cares for every member regardless of race, gender, or religion. Each student is given equal opportunity to succeed academically, socially, athletically, or otherwise. I urge ANYONE who will be moving to West Tennessee to consider Munford as a wonderful hometown and a great school system in which your child(ren) will receive a quality education in a safe learning environment.

some great teachers. too uptight about the little things. it is soooo easy to get away with everything. small town feel and everyone knows everything about you. Great band!!! good FFA too. alot of slackers but that ok. its a very relaxed atmosphere. either your a slacker or goody 2 shoes... not much middle ground if any. its great but hard to break away from once labled one way or another

I graduated from here in 97, I wanted my children to come here but military is keeping us from Tn. I love the whole area miss it terribly. But still have friends and family still around here. I give this whole school district 5 stars

Munford offers it's students the best of both worlds. In what is considered a somewhat rural area outside of Memphis, Munford provides a challenging curriculum in a down home setting.

I love the students and the other teachers. I love the school spirit. It is a great town and a great school. I think our students are what put us over the top. They have great attitudes and they participate in clubs, sports, band, academic competitions, etc.....

Munford high school is an awesome school!! my youngest son is a senior this year and he has been an active member in the munford ffa for 4 years. The munford ffa program is absolutley wonderful!!

I have an ADD & Hearing impaired child. Munford has been great with him and making sure that his needs are met. We have some of the highest TCAP scores in TN and the teachers are great. The school we went to before moving here was awful. He was not getting the needs he needed. All 3 of Munfords schools are great.

This school is great. I am disappointed that Brighton High School got a better rating. Especially since the Band went to USSBA Nationals the fall of 07. I LOVE this school. I am still considered a student, but I recently got accepted to Tennessee Governor's Academy of Mathematics and Sciences (the FIRST one in the county). The Bargers (the spanish teachers) are very serious about our education and I truely love them both. Our band program is AMAZING (as I stated before). I played Tuba before attending the academy, and my two years in band help me stay Disciplined during my studies at the Acad. We also were USSBA state champions in 07, as well as ranked 5th in the Nation. Our FFA program is great. I had no personal experience, but had friends that were VERY active and my brother attended the camp in the summer. COUGAR PRIDE!

Munford has a large student body with a small town atmoshpere. I have two daughters who transferred into this school from out-of-state and they are happy with most everything. The pros are safety, some great teachers, curriculum, and activities. The cons are a few rowdy kids and a handful of teachers who hand out in-class assignments rather than teach. The good outweighs the bad by far and kids who are morally and mentally mature will do well here. Like many schools, your kids will get as much out of it as they put into it. Parent involvement is a must!

i love munford! im going to miss it to much. im going to bolton next year. Im leaving behind amazing teachers and a grade A plus FFA! Munford FFA dominates west tennessee for the 6th year in a row! i will miss munford so much. they have amazing true teachers and awesome classes and days that fly by. You will want to come to school!

I am a former student of Munford. I transferred from Munford to Bolton. Personally, the education at Bolton is a million times better than Munford. The only thing I miss from Munford is Spanish with Mr. Barger.

My daughter is smart and would have done well at any school. However,I will say that I'm glad she stayed at Munford High after being given a choice when our area was rezoned to Brighton. We were worried in the beginning after BMS teachers told us that Munford High wasn't nearly as good as Brighton High. We found that to WRONG. My daughter has THE BEST Spanish teacher(Barger)in W.TENN I think. Not only that, her English teacher(Roy)is by far one of the best I've seen. My daughter took her ACT last year 3 months into her junior year for the first time and made a 24. She is a senior this 05-06 school year and will graduate with 2 college credits. Just a few more points on the ACT with 2 tries left and she will have a full scholarship to college. She loves this school and preferred it to Brighton.
