I have a child who attends Ross. This school is wonderful. It has some growing to do, but my child is excelling well above grade level. This is mainly due to the great start he had back in Pre-K in another school. The new Principal is helping this school achieve its full potential. She is a huge asset.
Yes, I have two children that attend Ross. It is a great school. They have wonderful teachers. Thanks Mrs. Crutchfield (pre-k) and Mrs. Simpson (3rd gr)We love you all.
My daughter attends Ross PreK and is having a wonderful experience. Her teachers are excited about teaching the students and go above and beyond to prepare them for Kindergarten. They are also consistent in correcting behavior problems and use excellent communication skills to relay daily progress and any behavior concerns. It is obvious that my daughter's teachers care about her as a person as well as her education. This school has allowed my daughter to have a posistive first exposure to public schooling.
'The educational opportunities at ross are minimal at best. Most children are instructed below-grade level and teachers are not provided with necessary teaching tools. Discipline and structure are lax. Although there are some good teachers here, the over-all quality of instruction is poor. Children who leave to attend public education find themselves well below level and many are retained or put in remedial courses. Teacher morale is low because of really low pay and lack of any positive feedback from the administration. Priorities are not uniform and too much time is spent off task in some classrooms. For the at-risk child that needs nuturing, there are caretakers on this campus but the real need of smaller classrooms is not provided. Teachers cannot meet the real needs of the children because of this. This is not a school for any child seeking to advance his academics
