I have two children at this school and I apologize daily for wasting two years of their lives here. Staff is very condescending and not helpful. Very lax attitude toward education. If you can afford to avoid this school, please do so. Save yourself the headaches!!

I have 2 children that attend this school. my daughter who is now in second grade started school in Lavergne and made a marked improvement after switching to Smyrna, and has been an honor role student from her first card marking. My son started at Smyrna this year and I cannot say enough good things about his teacher. Principle Zago knows nearly every child by name and greets them each morning with a smile and a hug! And his staff is so caring...We looked very hard at all schools before we bought in Smyrna so if your looking for nice neighbours and GREAT schools look no further!

Both of my sons attended Smyrna Elem. last year (03-04)and will be attending this year again; it's a great school with an awesome Principal. The staff is very friendly and they are wonderful with the kids. Principal Zago and Coach Hess certainly picked the right profession, they are great with the kids and they understand children's minds. One of my boys is a bit hardheaded and the other a class clown; Principal Zago and Coach Hess were awesome at working with them, I couldn't have asked for better people to work with me guiding my children. If your child is zoned to attend this school, I say 'good for you!' Karen Johnson

I went to this school as a child and now my son is attending there. There are still some of the same teachers there as when I attended. Thats always a plus, to see the Longevity. The school does need some updating on the inside and out. It is a very good school, the teachers are great and so is the Principal. We moved last christmas so we have been at this school for half of the year. The teacher and the principle all made us feel welcome and it made the adjustment period for my soon a little easier.
