Both of my daughters graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School. One later received a doctorate and is an assistant professor at Rutgers, and the other received a doctorate and is a clinical staff pharmacist. They never had any academic difficulties after attending SDHS. Robert Smith and his staff at the time did an excellent job in preparing students for their future.

Horrible school. Administration is inconsistent. Most teachers do not teach. Students are left not ready for their future!

Not so good! There are a few very caring teachers. There are many that do not care. The administration has much to be desired. Bias, predjudice and ignorance are alive and well at this school.

Great school!! Teachers and administration has always been helpful. This school is one of the top schools in the country and it's located in a great community. This school has strong traditions, and a large support base in the community.

I love this school!! My son enjoys being a student there. He will graduate next year with 6 college credits under his belt. This School is Outstanding. The teachers are great, and the staff has been nothing but kind, and helpful. We love Mrs. Zuber. I'm sorry to say that my daughter will not be able to attend Soddy High due to the fact we have to move out of town. I will miss it here.

Soddy high is not what it is all cracked up to be. The students have no idea what is going on. There is drugs/cigarettes being sold right under the school's nose.Kids smoke in the bathroom when teachers know about it, but won't do anything about it. And we are rated top in our county high schools? Makes no since

The teachers are totally awesome and have the students academic well being at heart. They encourage learning and go above and beyond to provide opportunities for learning. It's sad that those students who 'get attention through drama' take away from the learning process.

My daughter loves this school, the teachers and staff are wonderful. The principal genuinely cares about his faculty and students, and is a very kind man. I'm proud of the opportunites my children will receive from this school.

This school is ran like a prison with cameras and police officers. The main objective of the administration is to keep order in the school-not educate children. The teachers we dealt with before removing our child from this school were lazy and concerned only with keeping their funding.

My son graduated in 2007 and my daughter is entering this year and we have been more than pleased with the staff and administration of this school. The classes and opportunities offered are wonderful and helpful in preparing the children for college.

I am a graduate of Soddy Daisy. I have to say it is the best school to go to. I also attended Red Bank for a junior high and some high school. Red Bank can't hold a candle to Soddy. Teachers were very caring and concerned with what was happening with the students.

Well, I am a senior at this school this year, and yes by educational standards, this school is one of the best in the southeast. Although there are some points in time where the board and the principals are a little too preoccupied or 'obsessive' with conduct or especially 'Dress Code If there are some of those things cut out of the school, and not having constant dress code checks everyday, then we would be able to learn effectively. It s a sad thing when one student can t halfway concentrate on something because their worried about their shirt tail being tucked in. The dress code has gone too far. That needs to stop.

My child (2004 grad) received the best education in the district in a public school. I dislike that the school board has dumb downed the schools by removing the honors classes. And not enough dual enrollment or AP classes are offered to replace those. Mr. Smith cares about the students and the teachers and runs a good program. The students test scores are the highest in the county.

For students that have a learning disability or ADD, they are not given much help. They are often left behind because they can't keep up. I have been told that they don't have the time! However, this school does have some wonderful teachers.

Overall it is a good school with the highest test scores in the county! If your child is planning to get involved in extra carricular activities I would highly suggest parental involvement. The only criticism I have is that if your not originally from the area there is favoritism shown to students who are from the area!

Soddy Daisy High School is an excellent well run school. Robert Smith is an excellent leader and has earned the respect of the Soddy Daisy and North Hixson community.
