I have one child left at this school. I took one of my children out because of remarks made by a teacher. One issue with this school is that the principal hires alot of relatives. If you have problems with a teacher, forget complainning. The principal will be for the teacher because chances are she is related to them in some way. Also, this school does alot of outdated things. They do not individualize instruction at all. If your child is having trouble you will not get any help. I am a teacher in another district and I have never seen things handled the way they do at this school. If you have a choice, stay away.

Summertown Elementary School is an incredible school! This school offers many options that can suit almost anything your child is interested in. The school is also small enough so that your child still gets the effects of a small school.

This my daughters 3rd yr at SES. She has struggled the whole time. This school and the school system needs more education on problems that children have, such as ADD and ADHD. There are very few teachers at this school that instead of finding out what the problem is they recognize the children as trouble students. This is not fair for the children. This year has been alot better, she has a great teacher this year and it really makes a difference.

We have one child in SES and one child will start in the next few years. We are thoroughly satisfied with all aspects of the school, its leadership, guidance, and activites. This is a great school. Even our child says so!
