Coker Creek Elementary School

The staff at Coker Creek Elementary are awesome! Whether a student is gifted or in need of help, either way, the teaching staff has a program to help the student to reach their potential. The staff help the students meet their goals, but they aren't pushy. It's almost like walking back in time to the 1940's to visit this school. They use old-fashioned character-building principles but still have loads of fun!

Coker Creek is a wonderful community school. The faculty and staff give a 110% of themselves to the children. The 6-8 grade teachers are outstanding. Their students score above all other district schools on state mandated test. The school has been recognized in the past as being one of the top ten Title I schools in the state. You couldn't ask for a better school for your children.

I am a graduate of Coker Creek elementary school and can say that it is the best school for parents that want a safe learning environment. Academically, Coker Creek provides a challenge for the average to slightly above average student, but is slightly lacking on gifted programs due to its size. History, however, tells us that it is more than adequate with students that have gone into fields from engineering to rocket science. Art music and extra curricular activities are limited. Basketball and cheerleading were the only sports offered when I attended and the music and art teachers rotated between Coker Creek and Rural Vale. I would advise anyone to send their kids to this wonderful school with some of the most amazing teachers I have ever met and I am in the business.
