I am a student and cascade. I do not recommend anyone to send there child here. There are a few teachers that don't teacher or choses to give there students class work and not even go over the material. Cascade use to be a pretty good school back in 2007 but since then we lost a majority of the good teachers. We have lost over 27 teachers since then due to new boss. The principal is really nice but sometimes doesn't make the right decision. The board is useless. They don't evaluate the teachers that need to be. How are they going to control a school they don't even send their own children to! Anyway cascade has grown a lot since 1970s so that means we need a bigger school. Im going to graduate in 2 years so by the time they get finish with it im either going to be a senior or graduate. All the public schools in bedford county got a new school or added on to except cascade! Its not safe and fire hazard. The guidance counselor is the best. She tries to help everyone but its hard to help 350+ students. Cascade needs to improve a lot!

I currently attend Cascade High. I am a senior. I would just like to say that it is a good school. The teachers actually care about the students. And as for the guidance office turning people away its because she is ALWAYS busy helping EVERYONE in the school, and it is not as if she neglects the people she simply asks they come when she isn't as busy if its not that important. I have been to lots of schools and Cascade outranks most of them and is by far my favorite. There's always someone around to help me or talkto me if i need it.

My kids attend Cascade and my opinion is, I believe this school leaves a lot to be desired! Academically it has very little to offer. There are not enough programs offered to students to challange them. In addition to the academics they are seriously understaffed. The Guidance dept is a joke. Everytime my kids go to guidance they are told to come back because there is no time for them. How can we expect our children to succeed if they don't have the tools and guidance to help them. My children have to share books in school because there are not enough to go around. Where is all the Tax money and grants going that are given to the school? I feel sad for the teachers, I don't know how they are supposed to do their jobs, without the proper tools. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this school.

I attended Cascade for 13 years and I can honestly say that it use to be the best school in the county. We were known for our academics and everyone wanted their child to attend Cascade. The atmosphere has totally changed through out the whole school. The administrative support for the teacher has reduce it basically depends on who you are and it seems to be the same for the kids. The middle school teachers are wonderful and really do care about the kids. They are there for the kids and expect them to succeed. Many of the high school teacher could care less if the kids succeed or not. Even though I attended the school for 13 years, I would not send my kids there now. I will say that they have added a band, which is awesome, and they do have a great sports program with wonderful coaches.

This is the third year my children have attended this school and they absolutely love it. It is a very parent involved school. The sports programs are wonderful and have great coaches. The staff seems to handle the discipline very well. I would highly recommend this school.

I am sorely disappointed in the seemingly lack of academic importance. My children have little, or no homework (except Algebra)and I was notified by mail (not by phone when the occurence took place)of an infraction my child was involved in. For a small school I would think academics would hold top priority and I think Cascade has failed in doing so.
