I am very unhappy with the program for special needs children with this district. I have had to pull my child out of school and move to a private location because this school can not get it together. When i went to complain to the super int. I was simply redirected to the special ed directer. I guess special needs children do not get the same respect that regular ed children get.

The program for special needs children is way under par! We have to go outside of the district to have our childs needs met.

This is our first year at Vandagriff. We love our teacher. We see progress reports but no details but if we ask she is ready to help. It is sad that there is a very low PTO attendance. It is a friendly school but could use more parent involvement to make it a great school.

I am a teacher in another district and have lots of years experience in schools. (my grandchildren attend Vandagriff) ) I think this is a great school! The principal is very visable and the staff in the office are friendly and helpful. My grandchildren love the teachers they are very happy at Vandagriff!

The school (Vandagriff) rates well in academic testing. The staff is serious about their students reaching their highest potential. I do agree that the other elementary schools have a better balance between academics and social activities than Vandagriff.

Vandagriff adheres to the motto 'all work, no play' while the other two elementary schools have various dress up days, pumpkin decorating contests, and other activities to develop school spirit. Vandagriff lags behind the rest!

The academics are average and the staff seems overworked.
