I graduated from aledo christian school. The teachers were absolutely amazing! They really poured out into the students not just academically but also gave great counsel for the issues they dealt with. The administration is wonderful as well. The teachers teach because they love the students not for the pay. Being a teacher doesnt always pay well. Being at that school was exactly what I needed. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Aledo Christian School is accredited and employ degreed teachers. It is small with high academic expectations. the sports program involves any student who wants to participates, however the "no pass" "no play" rule is enforced. The teachers talk to the parents regularly about their child's progress. They challenge the students to love learning, and they are life learners themselves. They give the students the attention they need to thrive in the calssroom. they make learning fun. They love the administration and model the line of authority to the students. Parents are the best anywhere. The school offers opportunities for parent involvement with new opportunities every year. Parents are treated as partners not outsiders. Parents are strongly encouraged to get involved. The administration reaches out to parents. She has a heart for family relationships. She listens attentively and answers questions asked by parents and studetn. She makes efforts to improve theschool.
I've had 3 of my 4 children attend. Previous review is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe ACS should allow drugs & premarital sex to give the kids a touch of the 'real' world. Academics are not on par with a $20K/yr private school but are definitely on par with a very good Aledo public without the drugs & alchohol. GREAT CHRISTIAN MENTORING & PEER CLIMATE. Everyone who wants to play sports, plays-unless they have academic problems. Parents need to be involved wherever their childred attend. ACS is great & worth a visit!
There are two kinds of students (and parents) at ACS... those who drank the Kool Aid, and those who did not. If you are tongues speaking Pentecostal who wishes to shelter (and blind) your child from the 'real' world, drink the Kool Aid and you're in. If you are looking for a quality education, just say no, and go someplace where education comes before religious indoctrination.
This school has turned out to be horrible. Most the teachers are pretty good, but the administration is lacking. They don't pay the teachers enough so the principal teaches classes also. Everything is scattered and they don't enforce their own rules.
Wonderful Christian environment, great teachers and feels like a family
This is an awesome school! Coming from public school to this Christian school has been such a blessing for our family. Our daughter was just recently accepted to 2 private universities in Texas, the only 2 she applied to for early admission!
I would not recommend this school to anyone. I also graduated from ACS. The teachers do care and I will give them that but, the administration was not good at all. I had a good time while I was there but don't feel like I learned enough to help me in college expecially in science. The tools were just not available while I was there.
This school was a very unpleasant experience for our family. The academics in the lower grades is pathetic. My kids were way behind in public school after attending this school.
I graduated ACS in 2003 and everything I have been taught I have been able to apply it to my college experience. The teachers are great there because they really want to help the students. With the attendance low, the teachers get to work one on one with each student which you wouldn't normally find in a public school. As a former student I really liked ACS. The extracurricular activities were great, it was easier to get involved in student activities or organizations. I really appreciate this school and all that it has taught me.
