we have been fortunate enough to have had outstanding teachers who were very caring and truly wanted the students to succeed. The principal has done an outstanding job and is very involved in all activities.

Excellent school with a most important asset: good teachers. Students enjoy quality art, music, P.E., computers, and library hours each week in all grades. Curriculum is fantastic. Extracurricular activities are available, but mostly through the community for younger students. Parents are a vital part of education, though I know PTA attendance is low. Volunteering is requested and encouraged. Many parents attend lunch with their children. Very safe school. I felt the discipline given to my son was fair and appropriate. My only complaint is the use of huge incentives for perfect attendance. However, in general, this school reflects the attitude of the community: education is important. We'll miss AES!

Pretty good teachers. The students tend to be snotty, especially if you are not a long-time local.

This school works hard, but its ever-changing leadership hurts the effectiveness in providing a quality education.

I am very pleased with my daughter's experience at this school. We came from a private school and foreign school background and were new to the public school world. We were very impressed with the level of education our child received. Her teachers were enthusiastic, energetic and caring. I wish there wasn't so much emphasis on testing at this level, but the teachers always took time to teach beyond the test. My daughter always wanted to go to school. I consider that the best test of a school there is.
