more concern on how a student dresses than education
I moved to this school district May of last year and was enrolled in intermidiate. I was afraid to go to high school due to the size. But my first day everyone helped me. Principals were friendly and same with teachers. Angleton has an amazing drama department and should continue with it. I have learned so much and advanced in my acadimics thanks to angleton.
The school has a very rigorous curriculum with qualified teachers. Like many schools outside of a large city, the battles with eligibility for extracurriculars has been an issue. There is a tremendous hometown pride in Angleton and active community support.
It is a good school that academicly perpared my child for the future. I am about to send another child there and feel very safe.
I worried about my child when we moved to Angleton from a much larger school. Since we have been here, I am amazed at how great the school is. My son has excelled in his classes and talks often about how friendly his teachers are. I had to call the principal to ask a question and quickly got a returned phone call and my questions were answered with a very optimistic attitude. Overall, we are very pleased with the school.
Very good school. My son's English and Art teachers are very caring and often check up on him outside of class. They want to make sure that he is doing well. My son feels much safer at this school than he did when he was in junior high in another district.
Angleton is a good school. It has several extra caricular activities, and tons of clubs. It will allow your kids to branch out and try new things. There are lots of great teachers. Most of them are the GT teachers, but there are numerous basic education teachers. There are also great counsolers that will work with your children, and help them be as successful as possible. Over all good school.
This is a decent school. I would send my child here again of we ever move back.
This school is very cheap. All the good teachers leave. Students should deserve a better education than what they're getting.
Shanese Baldridge-I used to attend AHS and feel as of it's a very good school. Iliked all the staff and students and felt as if everyone was treated fairly. AHS has very good athletic prgrams, teachers, coaches, and classroom lectures. I really did enjoy attending AHS!
