This is my daughters last year at this school. My son has already gone to it and I loved it then as I do now. One of the reasons we have not decided to buy a new home yet is because we didn't want our children going to another school. Being a public school, they still had plenty of staff to work with my children one on one. The staff is awesome and extremely caring in every way! southside is the best!
This is the best school!!! The principal is caring, professional, nice, funny etc. The teachers love the children and create the perfect atmosphere for the kids to learn and enjoy school. Everybody is so nice and attentive. I'm very proud my daughter and nephew attend to this wonderful school (as well as my husband 24 yrs ago). Thanks to everyone at Southside.
Not only do my two sons attend this school, but I myself did more than 20 years ago.The teachers are excellent(alot of the same ones still there from that many years ago) and the principal is definitely on top of his game. Mr. Crowell knows each and every student by name and interacts with them every chance he gets.I'm very proud that my children are a apart of the Southside family and give them full credit for helping and guiding my boys to being the bright and wonderful young men that they are! Go Southside...God bless you all! -JoAnn Coley-
i am very proud my kids attend this school , i feel although they have a decatied team of works they are wishy washy about instilling the basics into my child that i know have been taught third graders are still very young and it seems it is very hard to be accountable for everything the school is trying to teach , i find myself in a pickle printing of taks prep work because the school is not providing the tools parents need to be able to teach our youth , i can tell each parent it is not easy learning the math all over again , i know that a month into taks prep we will be where we understand but as a parent i have a right to give my child the best and feel as though our needs are not meet and our voices are being overlooked.
The principal is one of the best in our district! He truly cares about the kids. He travels from classroom to classroom in order to build positive relationships with teachers and kids. The kids know this because our principal tells them daily--'Southside Elementary is the best school in our district---soon to be the best in Texas!'
Awesome school, principal, teachers, and staff! Everyone at this school has a commitment to excellence. They love children and view their roles as team members with parents working together to provide an outstanding education for all kids. Who wouldn't want that for their own children? Parents should want to get involved, but this school could use more involvement from them. The programs and innovative, motivational strategies would be so much easier to implement with more parents participating in their children's education on a regular basis.
This school has many dedicated teachers who care just as much about the emotional well being of their students as they do the intellectual well being. Excellent teachers and staff.
I love the rewards program for our kids. They always seem to try harder if they have something cool to work toward. Southside Elem. is an awesome school. Keep up the great work.
