My son is always board in class he does his work and has to sit there while everyone else finishes. The school will not give him advanced work and every day i hear that he want to be in a different school so he can learn new things not the same thing every day. Out with the old and in with the NEW after christmas break.

my son absoulutely hated this school!!! the teachers are rude and when he would try and tell the teacher someone was bullying him she would tell him to sit down she didnt wanna hear it!!! Seems like taechers dont wanna be there to teach, they are there to get that paycheck, they dont even have a great selection of extra curricular activities for the kids nor plays.... I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone i always worried while my child was at school :(

I have never seen a better or more concerned staff than that of Faulk Elementary School. Kudos for a wonderful year because-- yes I'll say it -- OUR SCHOOL ROCKS!!!

In my experience, this school tends to base their curriculum for each class according to the lowest standards for each class. The student that has the most trouble learning will actually get teh most out of class here. However, it has been my experience that students with a higher level of learning will not be challenged to their full potential and may become bored in his or her classroom.

This school has been a big disappointment. Our daughter needed accelerated learning opportunities which have not been made available. It took her about 3 weeks to go from loving schol to hating it.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

The test results by subgroup show how the designated group of students is performing in comparison to the general population.
  • In 2010-2011, this school was rated "Recognized".
  • In 2009-2010, this school was rated "Academically Acceptable".
  • In 2008-2009, this school was rated "Exemplary".

About the tests

Texas uses Accountability Ratings to indicate the overall performance of each school and district. The ratings are based on TAKS test results, dropout rates for grades 7 and 8 and school completion rates for grades 9 through 12. Schools and districts rated under standard accountability procedures are designated as Exemplary, Recognized, Academically Acceptable or Academically Unacceptable. Schools and districts rated under alternative education accountability (AEA) procedures are designated as either AEA: Academically Acceptable or AEA: Academically Unacceptable.
