What a disappointment. No communication from the principal. All she is worried test scores. My children do well in school and need to be challenged. They are so bored in their classrooms from review and talk about the Taks test. When trying to express concerns to the principal, I do not get my calls returned. I am told to make an appointment. She sits in her office and is not visible in the building. Horrible administration.

What is great is that there is alot of parental involvement as far as donating for special programs and PTA involvement. That is why the kids do so well. It's about a 70/30 mix of very good teachers to teachers that are there for a paycheck. Downside- I have noticied there is a bit of snobbery if you do not live in the housing community that the school is located in.

Awesome school with tremendous individualized support for students! Teachers and staff are very communicative. Parents are very involved. Our son is on the Autism spectrum and the RSES staff has been UNBELIEVABLE to work with! Skilled, supportive, informative, nurturing and truly caring.

From the very first day my daughter was in Pre-k at Rooster Springs we have been beyond pleased. We are in our 3rd year now and pray that the redistricting won't affect us as we will have two children attending elementary school in the Fall 2011 and truly hope we can still send our kids to Rooster. The school has a private school feeling to it. The principal, vice principal, teachers, PE program, Art program and Music program are wonderful. 5 starts all the way!

I'm thrilled with Rooster Springs. My kids have had great teachers and learned a lot. I'm happy with the school administration and with the instructors. The school really deserves its exemplary rating, and our experience here far outshines our experiences in California.

I think the Math Stars, UIL and AR (advanced reading) programs (especially liked the reading stars in the library showing the points students have earned) are awesome and have enabled my daughter to stretch her skills outside of the classroom where she is already excelling. I hope these programs will continue

Marginal schools. Moved here at the beginning of the school year from California, where the schools are rated well below average. This curriculum however is several years behind by California standards. School administration is inaccessible & stand-offish - parents were told early in the school year that if they had any questions or concerns they could 'leave a message' or 'send an e-mail' at any time. The bright spot is that a two of the five teachers my children have are enthusiastic & capable. The other three however are cranky & unmotivated. The love of learning my children acquired while attending school in California seems to be dwindling as the year progresses.
