This is my first year here and I'm in 6th grade. I really like the teachers, some are young and that kinda makes me feel good. It makes me feel good because they can relate to what we are going through right now because, it wasn't THAT long ago that they were in sixth grade. ( even though it kinda was) they do give a lot of DPS and lunch detention, especially my science and Spanish teacher, but they still are really good teachers. This school, the teachers also give a lot of projects. it's almost the end of the year and I say we've already gotten like 15 projects. The kids are really nice, and VERY social; they are always hugging each other and laugh a lot. I have made a lot of friends that are really nice, there are a few things that I wish would change, but overall I really like this first year at HSS and hope to attend 7th next year.

Harmony is a good charter school. Teachers care and academics are of the highest priority. I do feel like as a charter this school has significant facilities challenges and lacks many of the extracurricular activities that make for a full well rounded school experience for children. I am happy with the education that my children are getting at Harmony, but I feel like they may miss out on some of the school experience at this school.

This school was.... i don't know? interesting? Well i went there for 6th and 7th, (2008-2010) boy was it wierd... the teachers are pretty much horrible. they would give us DPS points for nothing, like if we moved our mouths (like we're chewing gum) they would suspect it's gum when it's nothing at all. the kids (or as i call some of them my friends) were okay... some of them were like evil. My Experience wasn't touching. i miss everyone i knew there, but i'm glad i moved

My 2 daughters started Harmony Fall 2008 and at the end of the year we could not be more pleased. Both of my girls learned and were challenged. The school has an awesome PTO and great administrative staff. There are so many extra curricular learning and cultural opportunities available. The teachers are committed, the discipline is fair and everyone is very approachable.

My daughter started kindergarten in Harmony Elementary, and we love it. The teachers are very open to parent involvement, as is the administration. I have been able to volunteer and help with anything from crafts, to teacher appreciation breakfasts with the PTO, to storytime. I love the uniforms, and the high standards of conduct that the administration expects from students. The principals take time to get to know the students by name and are available to parents. I am very pleased with the way my daughter's teacher has differentiated the curriculum to challenge my daughter. It is so nice to have teachers that welcome my input as a parent, as they work with my daughter. I have also been very pleased with the diversity of the school. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone that wants their child to be challenged academically in a disciplined and diverse environment.

This school is great. First of all, it has a small size and there are video cameras everywhere, which makes it a very safe environment. The academic programs are challenging and kids have extracurricular activities from now on. Each student in 4th and 5th grade has to do a science project. They even went to citywide science fair last year (8 first, 4 second places). The PTO works really well. My child has lots of friends who are not bullying or spying on her. I love this school

The academic programs are excellent. Music, art and a lots of extracurricular activities are available in the school. The music and art teachers are very good. Parents are free to email or talk to the teacher anytime regarding students progress and areas to work on.

That is an excellent school for an elementary school. The size is small; so teachers know every student in detail. Students share their problems with their teachers, who are very helpful. The school challenges 4th and 5th grade students by making them prepare science projects. Their all 12 projects got either 1st or 2nd place in the citywide science fair last year. I really like the parents, they are very involved with the school. That collaboration leads the school to success. I hope they will get exemplary this year (they are recognized in 2007).
